After earning an Associate of Arts degree from Pensacola Jr College, she returned to Tallahassee and attended Florida State University. Dual enrolled, she received a registered appraiser license from The Real Estate School, starting her career with one of the premier real estate appraisal firms in Tallahassee. April eventually ventured into a two-decade long mortgage banking career working with local community banks and national mortgage lenders.
